We took a day trip down to Christendom once, and even THAT took him a whole day to recover from! I think he's a little more adjustable now than he was then, but even so, he's not a "portable" baby as they go.

I think it's strange the way people assume that constant love and care will "spoil" a baby. Babies don't really have wants, just needs, and as our pediatrician said when he was born, "You can't spoil a baby." I would also add that you can't spoil anyone by loving or listening to them too much. Too much candy or turning a blind eye when they hit their little sister? Sure. But too much love? There isn't any such thing.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10853868724554947854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464977109229359349.post-89950864116125732692010-07-09T01:02:16.278-04:002010-07-09T01:02:16.278-04:00Hug.
You and John have learned a lot and he's...Hug.
You and John have learned a lot and he's experienced a lot, too! His first(?) abnormal experience in his short life! And now he loves home again. =)

Thank you for mentioning the advice you got from the mom who said your immediate care makes him more independent, not more spoiled. That's a refreshing, not often said, idea.Heatherhttp://hungryheather.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
