Anon's comments above are equally striking! I'm glad you shared this with us at KS - hope to see you back often!
:) KatieKitchen Stewardshiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02237057208618360053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464977109229359349.post-63672397166331934332009-12-25T21:04:52.259-05:002009-12-25T21:04:52.259-05:00It's rather similar to the way Mozart was able...It's rather similar to the way Mozart was able to compose some of his best work while working under the very strict outlines laid out by his patrons.Charlemagnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07935899105940585444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464977109229359349.post-54668524496485897062009-12-23T15:58:27.648-05:002009-12-23T15:58:27.648-05:00I see you share my food philosophy, Warren!

Besides being something I enjoy, it's something that I truly believe is more important than anything else I could be doing.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10853868724554947854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464977109229359349.post-37551865225122430602009-12-23T15:27:23.037-05:002009-12-23T15:27:23.037-05:00I'm a newlywed, and not only in love with my w...I'm a newlywed, and not only in love with my wife, I'm also thrilled with the care and nurture she has brought into my life. The food she cooks for me is a sign of her love for me. We've decided that she should be free to stay home. Putting it that way, I think, the idea of domestic servitude is replaced with a concept of domestic freedom.

For us, everything we do is done as a team. We even speak of our life, and this choosing (like you and your husband have chosen, intentionally) to have less money as a couple, and somehow, we find ourselves richer this way.

I would rather have the most basic home-cooked meal imaginable than a five course dinner in the fanciest restaurant in Toronto, if that home-cooked meal was cooked by my wife. I can't over-state how important that is to me. Wow.

And so I don't think your blog post is only about food. It's about a spiritual house you are building with your husband, the way my wife and I are building ours.

We think of ourselves as a small "religious community", if you like. A domestic church. Which serves meals.

WarrenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2464977109229359349.post-20462688869883374192009-12-23T14:57:34.135-05:002009-12-23T14:57:34.135-05:00+JMJ+
